Colored pencils
The ancient Greeks are known to have used writing tools similar to our crayons and Pliny the Elder recorded that the Romans were already using colored crayons.
The first colored pencils with a wooden cover appeared in the 19th century, invented and produced in 1924 by Faber-Castell and Caran d'Ache and were used primarily to mark and underline texts. The wrapper of colored pencils is usually made of cedar wood and the color lead is made of wax and pigments, ingredients that give it this particular smell.
Since our childhood, colored pencils have accompanied us in the day to day of our growth, first as entertainment material and later as school material.
